Since 1997 Paul Caesar has designed and facilitated drama programs that provide school groups with his winning combination of professional acting skills and extensive teaching experience. He has hosted workshops nationwide in urban and rural areas and visited schools such as Pymble Ladies College, Redfield College, Tathra Public School, Northern Beaches Christian School, Burnie High School in Tasmania, Turramurra High School and SCEGGS Redlands.
Paul is able to work with you to create a co-curricular or extra-curricular program, whether you need a one off workshop or an ongoing series, tailored to the specific skills, goals and interests of you and your students. Creative State’s school workshops can cover a variety of topics including but not restricted to:
- HSC assessments
- Character creation
- Devising and play building
For HSC students, Creative State provides assessment coaching for both individual and group performances. Whether you're a student seeking private tuition or a teacher wanting further mentorship for your class, Paul’s coaching can help take an assessment piece to a higher level by:
- Assisting with deeper and more inquisitive script analysis, resulting in a more detailed performance.
- Helping students develop a greater emotional connection to their pieces, going beyond a simply cerebral understanding.
- Providing directorial advice for group performances
"My daughter had been in drama throughout her high school years, but although we knew she had natural ability to entertain on stage, this was never able to be recognised at school due to her lack of confidence in front of her peers. But with Paul's dedication and patience Penny was able to build her confidence and achieve outstanding improvement, from a less than average score at the start of the year, to a near perfect score in her HSC drama piece! Paul is experienced and talented, with a quirkiness and sense of humour but a deep seriousness about his drama which he aptly conveys to his students. I cannot more highly recommend Paul in any future endevours, especially working with young aspiring actors." Pamela Matchett
